Mobility Specialist

The role of Mobility Specialist, includes working with the Assistant to the Bishop for Candidacy and Mobility, Julie Grindle, as well as the Bishop and Deans, to accompany congregations in transition and to support the synod's work in connecting rostered leaders to congregations searching for pastoral leadership.

The position is part-time, approximately 5-hours per week to begin and relates directly to the Assistant to the Bishop for Mobility and Candidacy.

Rachel Sosebee moved to Upstate New York in late 2020 and enjoys all the seasons and cool summers in Western New York. She previously lived in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina but grew up in Ohio and Michigan.

Rachel brings 20+ years of service to God’s church, serving in a paid and volunteer capacity, working on local, regional, and national teams, in multiple denominations. She brings a specialty of gifts-based and equipping ministry systems.

In whatever way she serves - at home, in her community, with a congregation, or taskforce, she enjoys walking with people as they discover their gifts and call from God, and encouraging them as they grow in their faith.
