What do young adults need while going through the learning, searching and transitions of life in college?  LuMination!

Lutheran Campus Ministry in WNY now goes by the name LuMin.  It's short for Lutheran Ministry, but more importantly, it's a clear reminder of Christ's love, grave and Light in the midst of all the demands and challenges of college life.

In the greater Buffalo area, LuMin WNY reaches to students on and off campus.  On campus, we spend time at tables in college Unions to be present for conversations, to share God's Word, give out devotionals or just remind students that they are being prayed for.  We take time in the fall to link students to local churches and throughout the year are present at various times for worship and sharing of the sacraments.

Off campus, LuMin links up students to local social services agencies or churches to help them dive into (paid) internships that will assist students figure out what God might be calling them to do in the world.  LuMin gathers once a month in a local restaurant for community time and faith conversations.  Students also have chances to take vocational nationally or to our partner church, school and orphanage in Haiti.

In all we do, our calling is to bring the light and love of Christ Jesus to students and staff on and off campus.  For updates on where and what LuMin is up to, you can find us at LuMin of WNY on Facebook.
