Karen Eadon,
Accountant and Bookkeeper

The job of the Synod Bookkeeper is to manage and track all money coming into and out of the Synod, analyze this data and report back to the finance committee, synod officers and the Synod Council. Also, the bookkeeper oversees and reports on funds that both the Synod has invested, as well as those owned by congregations that use the Synod to manage their funds. I also collect statistical data provided by congregations as far as financial reporting, member totals, etc. After compiling this information, it is used to help make decisions on ways the Synod is able to work with and help our congregations that might be struggling and to help with good choices for placement of new pastors. I am currently overseeing our Feed the Roots Capital Campaign, maintaining accurate records
and distribution of these funds. I am also available to congregational treasurers for any financial questions that may come.

My walk with the Synod and the congregations is one behind the scenes, but by providing for our staff and committees I am part of the programs we support such as candidacy, outreach and congregational ministries.
