Focus on Priorities: Bishop Visitation of Congregations and Worshipping Communities

My initial priorities as we begin this call together are to be present and show-up in our congregations and communities on Sunday and other primary times to gather, so that we may be able to get to know one another better.

I am making my way through our Synod on Sunday mornings. There are three-ways I can be present with you in worship on Sunday (or Saturday, or Wednesday…). First, you can invite me. Click on this link to complete a google form inviting me to worship or a special event, the more notice you can give, the better my chance of making your preferred date. I look forward to receiving these invitations. Secondly, I may call your congregation to ask if I may join you. This is the primary way I’m beginning my visitation. Finally, I may just show up because I am not appointed to be anywhere, and I just chose your place for worship that day. My goal is to visit every congregation over a 5-year period (if I can do it faster, all the better).
