The Conflict and Healing Team (CHT) is a resource for Bishop Jerge to provide help and healing for congregations in conflicted situations. Members also work with the Bishop in investigating and providing after care in cases of pastoral misconduct. The CHT is comprised of both pastoral and lay members who work with individual congregations in teams of two or three, and meet together in plenary session throughout the year to review and discuss the work being done in congregations. We can also provide training and help to congregations in areas like boundary awareness, internet use policy, or background screening procedures. Realizing that conflict is a natural part of church life, this is one way the synod walks together with congregations in a spirit of prayer and concrete help, to strengthen them for mission and ministry.
